Visit to Kashmir

This summer during May monthend I went to Kashmir with my wife, a place which is called Heaven on earth but lately affected by separatist movement and voilence. So, not many people are visiting kashmir now a days but we thought If we are going to some Hill station it should be Kashmir which is more than a hill station.

On 28th May we took morning flights to Delhi and from there Srinagar, and by 03:00 pm we were in the valley. It was very sunny but still you can feel the chillness in the air. Next 4 days we went to different places like Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Nishat gardens and Dal lake. We spent a night in the house boat on Dal lake. Evening Shikara on dal lake was a beautiful experiance. There was heavy security in the whole valley and almost every 100 mts you will find army personnel weilding machine guns on patrol. On 31st evening there was a grenade blast at Dal gate and we were there at that place just 1 hr back. So God really saved us.

Overalll it was a beautiful experiance and the risk we took by going to Kashmir was worth. Afterall route to Heaven is also not that easy and so is with the Heaven on Earth.
