A touching mail

An E-mail received from a friend after Mumbai Blasts.......

For those left behind...
This is a painful Insight for us to write. We lost a colleague in the blasts in Mumbai last week. We struggled to reconcile to the needlessness of his death, try to make some sense out of it, find answers to the question .Why him?... a question that would have been ringing in the minds of every person who lost someone that day... a question to which we may never find an answer.

We experienced grief and despair at all of this... And yet, we saw the caring, compassionate and helping side of people during this time, both, those who helped and those who suffered. It was the doctors, the policemen and the simple everyday folk, who went out of their way to make it as easy as they could for us. They restored our faith in mankind, which was shaken when reports of the blasts started trickling in.

Our colleague suffered a head injury. He underwent a complicated neurosurgery. Money was available in abundance for his treatment. But all of that came to no use. We still lost him. In our lives, we chase money, power and success because we believe they can solve everything. We discovered, sadly in this case, that all the money, success and power in the world, was just not enough.

Death does not have a calling card. You do not know when it comes a-visiting. Cherish what you have. Honour and love the important people in your life. And remember to let them know that. Do not sweat the small stuff. It really does not matter if they did not pick up the clothes, or left the toothpaste lying without the cap. You do not know when you kiss them goodbye as they go off to work if it is the last time you wished them.

The trauma and tragedy of the week gone by, left us with deep insights. We only wish... that we had received these learnings in some other way.

Good Moral

True story, Posted by somebody on the Net.

I was happy. My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream! There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and that one thing was her younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight mini skirts and low cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when near me and I got many a pleasant view of her underwear. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else. One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't really want to overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total shock and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and went straight to the front door. I opened the door and stepped out of the house. I walked straight towards my car. My future father-in-law was standing outside. With tears in his eyes he hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family.
"The moral of this story is:"
"Always keep your condoms in your car."

Nice Joke

Lil' Johnny goes to his dad and asks, "What is politics?" Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way. I'm the breadwinner of the family, so let's call me Capitalism. Mommy is the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the Government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you The People. The nanny, well, consider her The Working Class. Your baby brother, we'll call him The Future. Now go think about this and see if it makes sense."
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying and runs to his room only to find that his diapers are very soiled. So the little boy goes to his parents' room. Mom is sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he looks through the peephole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.
The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand what politics is now."
"Good son, tell me in your own words then what politics are."
The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit."

Annoying Things To Do In An Elevator

1) STAND silent and motionless in the corner facing the wall without getting off.
2) MEOW occasionally.
3) STARE At another passenger for a while. Then announce in horror: "You're one of THEM" - and back away slowly
4) SAY -DING at each floor.
5) SAY "I wonder what all these do?" And push all the red buttons.
6) MAKE explosion noises when anyone presses a button.
7) STARE, grinning at another passenger for a while, then announce: "I have new socks on."
8) DRAW a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers: "This is my personal space."
9) WHEN there's only one other person in the elevator, tap them on the shoulder, then pretend it wasn't you.
10) ASK if you can push the button for other people but push the wrong ones.
11) DROP a pen and wail until someone reaches to help pick it up, then scream: "That's mine!"
12) CALL out "Group hug" then enforce it.

Mumbai Blasts

At least 183 people were killed and 663 injured in a series of blasts that rocked the city of Mumbai on Tuesday. Seven blasts took place on different railway stations in the city. In a short span of 20 minutes in different moving trains at different locations powerful blasts occured in the first class coaches. It was evening time and most of the people were returning from work So the casualities were high. But we in Mumbai never succumb to such coward acts of the terrorrists and we all attended our works, all school n colleges are open and life is back to normal in Mumbai. Cheeers to the spirit of Mumbai.
